Aspen / Snowmass is celebrating 60 years of skiing and riding on Aspen Mountain.  Considered by many to be the premiere winter sports destination in the world, Aspen / Snowmass has a rich history.  The earlier single chairs and boat tows have given way to gondolas and high speed quads, and wooden skies have since been replaced with space-age lightweight materials, but Aspen / Snowmass retains something for everyone and remains a family destination.  One of the most accessible resorts in the Rocky Mountains, the Aspen / Sardy airport handles hundreds of flights daily, including many non-stop flights from around the country.  If you are driving, the resort is nestled in picturesque Roaring Fork Valley, accessible via Interstate I-70 and Colorado highway 82, 220 miles from Denver.

In 2006, Aspen Mountain received the highest green (environmentally-friendly) rating of all ski resorts in the United States, as determined by the Ski Area Citizens' Coalition, a group of environmental groups led by Colorado Wild in Durango, Colorado.

No matter how young or old you may be, or your ability level, you will find a thrill at Aspen / Snowmass.  Come and ski Aspen / Snowmass this winter!
