Once known primarily for the hunting around its banks, Jackson Lake State Park has become one of Colorado's finest outdoor recreation and water sports sites.

This state park provide water-centered fun with modern facilities. The park includes 264 campsites between seven campgrounds.

Six of these campgrounds are located on the western shore of Jackson Lake. The Dunes Campground is located on the southern shore of the lake. Electrical hook ups are provided at 53 camp sites. Five picnic areas provide tables, grills and toilets for visitors. Two swimming areas, a boat ramp, marina, shower facility, dump station and rangers' station are also located at Jackson Lake.

Recreation at Jackson Lake State Park is centered upon the 2,700-surface acre lake. During the warm months camping, picnicking, swimming, boating, water skiing, jet skiing, windsurfing and sailing are popular. Fishing continues year-round for trout, walleye, catfish, perch, bass and crappie.

From U.S. 34/I-76 interchange, take Colorado Highway 39 north for 7.25 miles through Goodrich, then go west on Y5 (follow the paved road) for 2.5 miles.
